Trend S/S 2012
Many designers collections and peoples personal style showed a really fun use of prints, may it be an all over statement or a clash with other prints or textures. I think it shows that you don't have to be afraid to experiment with a range of colours and prints and it can look very chic (if done right) and not just like a jumble! I think honestly fashion should be fun and this should be shown through an open mind and not caring what other people think doesn't go together.

Trend S/S 2012
A major trend I have noticed is outfits that look very similar to pajamas may it be an over all print or just the trousers. It creates a laid back and smart but quirky style. The silk Great Gatspy style of The Row's look adds a very glamorous, luxurious feel whilst the other looks are creating a quite young, fun look.
Antipodium S/S 2012 London
I really liked this collection I think it had an unusual but very beautiful look to it, a gorgeous colour palette and lovely prints.
The clothes were very interesting, some deconstruction is seen in the cut outs and sheer inserts such as the very cropped trench coat. There is also evidence of quite androgynous masculine silhouettes and details such as the buttoned up shirts and boxy voluminous jackets.
Paul Smith S/S 2012 London
Paul Smith's womanswear collection definitely illustrated the masculine trend really well, showing a very effortless chic style.
I think the use of the check and the brush stroked flowers print lifted the collection and made it very feminine.
The only element to the collection I didn't like was the wide legged trousers that sat weirdly on the hips and didn't work as well as the slim slightly cropped trousers.
Overall i think the collection is very stylish and wearable and a really nice alternative to some of the very over sexy looks of other designers collection.
Street Style Trend, London Fashion Week
There was a very apparent maxi skirt trend, a lot of the looks were also teamed with extra long cardigans or jackets creating a very long slim draped silhouette.
Christopher Raeburn S/S 2012 London

Christopher Raeburn's presentation was set in the museum of London making it the first fashion show to be held there. It seems it was a very unique and innovative presentation creating a real atmosphere of lighting visuals and sound making a truly interactive experience for those present.
With a focus on colour composition and inspired by both sports and military wear, Raeburn has successfully deconstructed those traditional silhouettes and details and created some very interesting outerwear.
I think the inclusion of the casual-wear such as the printed joggers made the overall styling of the show really stylish and very wearable.

Holly Fulton S/S 2012 London
Holly Fulton's collection was a lovely clash of the seaside and fantastic prints, her signature deco style was as always included in the layouts and patterns, resulting in some overall style similar to Versace.
I love the inclusion of the seashell, coral and zebra which created a very fun collection of clashing prints, almost bordering on bad taste but I think just created a very strong edgy look. It is definitely a collection for a strong confident woman who is not afraid to make a statement.

Street Style Trend, London Fashion Week
I spotted a lot of Backpack wearers at London fashion week, here are a few of my favorites. I think backpacks are a quite nostalgic vintage item that almost everyone can wear and pull off, these backpacks have been worn very well and add to the overall look of each individual and add a mismatch of colour and pattern.
Trend S/S 2012
The sporty trend has been apparent throughout New York fashion week and I have noticed it also in London fashion week. The use of mesh or laser-cut fabrics has been used in very different ways but overall it creates a very slick look, Marios Schwab creates a very sophisticated sexy sporty edge to his collection whilst Altuzarra creates an almost grungy look with the sporty fabrics.

Ashish S/S 2012 London

Ashish as always was a beautiful array of his signature sequin encrusted garments. This collection was inspired by Van Gogh which we see with the use of the sunflower prints and straw hats. The flowers growing from the military boots, give a charming almost scarecrow like aesthetic, this is furthered with the high waited jeans tied with up string.
He uses colour and print very boldly as always but the balance is always right with each outfit, I think the involvement of the brick wall pattern cuts up the florals really nicely.
